The challenge
Change Bowl rounds up users’ card purchases to the nearest dollar and routes the difference to the charities they choose. Making that work means reading transactions accurately and in real time, which puts the product squarely in the path of sensitive financial data and the security expectations that come with it.
It also had to feel effortless. If rounding up and giving wasn’t genuinely simple, people wouldn’t stick with it — and the platform needed to keep performing as both its user base and its transaction volume climbed.
Our approach
We built secure APIs to track card activity in real time and calculate each round-up precisely, with encryption throughout so user financial data stays protected end to end. Flexible integration modules connect to multiple banks and card providers, so transaction tracking works across the institutions users actually bank with.
The interface was designed to keep giving frictionless, and the architecture was built to scale with growth in users and transaction throughput.
