The challenge

AgroTrace set out to put serious agronomy in a farmer’s pocket through Thor, a field device that reads the environment around a crop. The hard part was twofold: the software had to talk to the hardware reliably and interpret its signals in real time, and it had to translate raw sensor readings into something a farmer could act on.

Weather conditions, soil quality and whether a given crop even suits a given plot are the decisions that make or break a season. AgroTrace needed those insights delivered clearly, on a phone, the moment the data arrived from the field.

Our approach

We built a custom Flutter application that pairs directly with the Thor device and processes its readings as they stream in. On top of that live data layer we added a smart-farming engine that scores environmental suitability, recommends which crops fit the conditions, forecasts weather, and flags crop-protection actions before problems spread. The IoT integration lets growers monitor their land remotely rather than walking every field.

To close the loop between data and practice, we built in an educational video library that teaches the techniques behind the recommendations. The result is a single tool that helps farmers read their land’s potential, react to weather in time to protect a crop, and steadily push yields higher with decisions grounded in real measurements.
